FREEDOM IS A CHOICE

Antti Eklund had his first solo art exhibit in Finland at Naantalin Taidehuone 10. - 29.8.2021.

The exhibit was about illuminating injustice, exposing the abuse of power and highlighting happiness.

His goal was to encourage and inspire people to act for a positive change.

Eklund believes that freedom is a choice, happiness is free and nothing in life is as permanent as change.

“Super Supermaose” ridicules the abuse of power. The 2 x 2 meter painting is covered in 23K gold leaf.

“Face of Death” plays on the tradition of death masks – and questions the actions based on Trump´s toxic rhetoric.

The “St. Birgitta” paintings was sold at auction for charity.

“White Barry” asks Obama if his precidency would have been even more successful if he was white.

“I Had a Dream” reflects on the tragic end of Martin Luther King.

Some visitors found the paintings inspiring and impactful from any angle.

The exhibit was extremely well liked and had a record audience.

The exhibit was well received by the press.
